Skulduggery Pleasant Fanfiction Chapter 27

Chione woke up really early, she was too excited to sleep. Today was her girls day out with everyone else going to the ball. The guys had their own stuff to do. Chione had a shower then put on her silver T-shirt with no back, her black skinny jeans, her leather jacket and her ankle boots. She had her breakfast, cereal again. She sat watching TV for a while but again, nothing was on. She had time to watch one episode of the walking dead before the car horn was heard from outside. She ran to the door and there was a pink limo waiting for her. She grabbed her dress, locked the door, ran across the street and got in. Valkyrie, Tanith, China, Clarabell and Adra were inside already, all holding the bags that their dresses were in.  She sat next to Valkyrie and Tanith.
"Hey Chione" Valkyrie said.
"Hello my dear, so you're the eldest of the element 4?" China's mouth moved but Chione  couldn't hear the words, she was the most beautiful women she had ever seen.
"Uh...yeah..." Chione mumbled.
Valkyrie looked sympathetic, she'd been through that before.
"So, where are we off to?" Adra said.
"First we're going to get our hair and nails done." Tanith said excitedly.
"Ah, good", China said whilst flicking her perfect locks, "I need my hair done again."
"You really don't" Chione said quietly.
China smiled "Thank you."
Valkyrie raised a bottle of champaign "who wants a drink?" everyone but Chione cheered and lifted up their hand.
"Chi, have you never  drunk before?" Clarabell asked.
"Um, no" Chione said nervously.
"Oh well it's time to change that. And no matter what, you have to down it in one to try to get used to it." Tanith encouraged.
Valkyrie poured her  a glass and gave it to her. Chione stared into the bubbly glass and took a deep breath, she threw her head back and downed it in a oner. The girls cheered.
"Good girl" China nodded, "Now one for me, Valkyrie."
Valkyrie poured the other women a glass and poured another for Chione.
"to the Christmas dance." Valkyrie called.
The girls put their glasses into the centre and clinked each others They drank their champaign and then the limo stopped.
"We're here" Tanith said.
The girls walked into the small shop. It was empty apart from a young women with curly red hair.
"Hey Tanith, what can I do you for?"
"Hey Helen, The the girls and I are looking for hairstyling and nails."
"Alright, what's the occasion?"
"Annual Christmas dance."
"Lovely. who's gonna be first?"
Everyone looked at Chione.
"Um...me, I guess"
"Hunny, when was the last time you got your hair cut?" Helen enquired.
"Never..." Chione replied, embarrassed.
"My god", Helen sighed, "Better get started then."
She chopped off half of Chione's hair to start off with.
"That was oddly satisfying." Helen smirked.
Chione, with her eyes closed so she didn't see her precious hair falling to the floor, heard the "thud" and whimpered.
Helen then took her to wash her hair . She left her at the mirror with a towel on her head.
"Who's next?"
Tanith stood up and Helen washed her hair, then Tanith was sitting next to Chione with towel on her head too. Next was Valkyrie, Then clarabell, Adra and finally China. They all sat reading magazines until it was time to get Chione's hair styled.
"Right, what style are you going for?" Helen asked.
"I'm not sure..." She muttered.
"Helen", Tanith called, "Give us it over."
Helen gave the magazine to Tanith and Valkyrie  and they looked it over. Chione listened carefully as she talked about how to chop the rest of her hair. Helen came back after they had all decided and started snipping with the scissors. Chione closed her eyes again, trying to block out the sound but it wasn't working. When Helen was done she tapped Chione on the shoulder ad she opened her eyes. He had a side fringe with long curls down the side of her face and her hail falling to almost a point at her back.
"I love it!" Chione shreiked.
The other girl smiled. Tanith and Valkyrie gave each other  high five.
"Chione, you look great." Valkyrie said.
"Thanks Valkyrie" Chione Beamed.
"Alright Chione, wait at the nail bar as I get the other girls looking as pretty as you."
Chione sat at the nail bar and looked at all the colours. Tanith just got her hair trimmed a little and curled. Valkyrie had her up in a bun that looked like a black rose with two strips of hair cascading down the side of her face. Clarabell had her hair dyed from Blue to Candy floss pink and had it up and curled. Adra just had hers curled with a silver clasp in it that she brought with her. China just had hers tided too with a red rose at the side that she also brought with her.
"Right, nails." Helen walked over to Chione who was still looking at all the bottles.
"What colour?"
"Blue" She said immediately."
"Any patterns?"
"Do you have snowflakes?"
"I do"
"Snowflakes then please.
Helen painted her nails Royal blue then she left them to dry. Tanith just wanted a French Manicure. Valkyrie got Black nail polish with pink glitter. She sat and smiles to herself when she was getting her nails painted. Chione smiled too because she knows why. Clarabell wanted hers rainbow coloured. Adra's was Silver. China got hers painted a deep red, Blood red. Helen went over Chione's nails with a clear coat and when that was drying she pressed the snowflakes into it then added another clear coat to strengthen them.
"All done, girls." Helen smiled, a little tired out.
"I'll pay." China offered.
"Oh no, China, I'll pay my bit." Chione insisted.
"It's my treat, Chione." China's eyes sparkled.
"Alright then..." Chione backed down, defeated by those eyes. China handed over the money and the girls got back in the limo. It was almost time.
