SP chapter 8 - Back again

The 3 sisters shot beams at Valkyire and she ducked, hitting the wall behind her. She took this chance to put her plan into action. She rolled into the centre of the room, between the door and the girls. It was far-fetched and she still had to think how to get Skulduggery away from Chione but she would get to it eventually. They fired again and she cartwheeled out the way. The sisters realised too late and the doors blew open. She thundered past the dumfounded siblings straight to Skulduggery. Chione just stood there, looking at him. Valkyrie picked him up over her shoulder, for a skeleton, he sure was heavy. She staggered past the sisters who stood like statues, Chione watched her go. When she reached the Bentley she opened the door and stuffed Skulduggery in.
"Ow" he managed
"Sorry!" She exclaimed
She got behind the wheel and drove off towards the Sanctuary, back through the metal gates. 'What the hell just happened?" She thought. She looked in the mirror at Skulduggery who was changing into another suit and she quickly turned away. He always kept a spare suit just in case, unfortunately not a spare hat although the one he was wearing was perfectly fine, it didn't match his suit. It just didn't feel right seeing a skeleton change... not like when she saw Dexter Vex topless. It was weird. When he had finished changing into his black and white striped suit he climbed over into the passenger seat.
"God this feels weird...being in the passenger seat of my own car...please pull over Valkyrie."
She pulled over and Skulduggery sat at the wheel.
"Should you be driving in your condition?" she asked.
"out of us I may be the most injured but I'm better at driving, faster and I'm already dead."
She sighed "You use that argument every single time..."
"Because it's a good argument, is it not?" He tilted his head.
"I guess..." She huffed.
Soon they were at the Sanctuary and Valkyrie helped Skulduggery back to the Medical Bay. When they opened the doors Dr Adra was putting on make-up and her plain black dress wasn't covered in the lab coat anymore. She was beautiful. She turned round and looked at them.
"Oh you have got to be kidding..." she sighed.
"Happy early Christmas present? Valkyrie smiled and sat Skulduggery down on the bed.
"I was just about to go out, what is it with you two? you were leaving mere hours ago now you're back? i'll never get any peace" She huffed and put her lab coat back on.
"I'm terribly sorry Dr Dark, we'll find someone else, we apologise for bothering you." Skulduggery groaned as he stood up.
Dr Dark sighed. "Don't be stupid, I'm the best god damn doctor here, sit back down Mr Pleasant."
Valkyrie smiled to herself and sat down, watching the curtain close.
"What about you miss Cain, any injuries?" The doctor called.
"Nah, just a few burns, no broken bones or anything."
"Good"
Valkyrie heard Skulduggery taking off his shirt. She sat and listened in to Adra begin her work and Skulduggery asking about her date. She moaned, kicked off her shoes and lay back. She fell asleep after Adra gave the name of her boyfriend...Trip Castalan.

SP Fanfic Chapter 7 part 2

Skulduggery came out of no where and landed on top of her, sending her flat on her face. He muttered a 'sorry' before flying into Chione and taking her off her feet. Star threw fireballs after them but Skulduggery turned round and they hit Chione instead, her skin sizzled but fixed itself again a couple of seconds later. Mithria sent a sphere of water towards her and Valkyrie cartwheeled to the side so the sphere shot into the doors instead. The door splintered further and she had an idea. September shot daggers that looked like...leaves? and Mithria turned into a puddle. Valkyrie shot fireballs at the leaves burning some but they still came at her, she only had time to cover her head. The leaves cut her hands, sliced her hair, tore at her jacket but didn't do any real damage. She felt hands round her legs and water seeped through her jeans and up her leg, over her stomach. She tired to stop it but it travelled up her neck, on her face and into her mouth, She chocked as Mithria began punching the back of her throat. She fell to her knees and clutched her neck. September watched with a smile. Chione shot into September, the two entangled on the floor. Skulduggery ran over and picked Chione up by her hair.
"Freeze your sister." Skulduggery shouted.
"N-no" Chione struggled. Skulduggery pulled her hair tighter and punched Chione in the jaw. Valkyrie was turning red as she fought for breath. Chione shot ice at the water on her face and it froze, aswell as the water in her mouth. She clicked her fingers.
"Don't," Skulduggery said quickly, "you'll unfreeze her and she'll turn into water again."
Skulduggery came over and knelt in front of her. "This may hurt"
He broke the ice on her face and reached inside her mouth to break the ice in her throat. She gagged and coughed, Skulduggery patted her back. The water on her leg turned back into a puddle on the floor and travelled to a hunched - over Chione, a bewildered September and a - she heard a click and her hair set on fire. Star tackled Skulduggery and Valkyrie rolled over screaming trying to put her hair out. Skulduggery was swarmed by the 3 sisters and Chione stood up. Mithria and September held his arms and Star held his shoulders, keeping him on his knees.
"Well well" she sneered s she wiped blood from her mouth, "seems the tables have turned" she said loudly as to be heard over Valkyrie's screaming. Chione punched him in his already broken ribs and he cried out. She kicked him in the face then took off his hat and put it on.
"It suits me don't you think? after this, you won't be needing it." she chuckled. She nodded to Star and she set his suit on fire. They all let him go and watched him squirm and burn on the floor. Valkyrie finally put the fire in her hair out and she ran over to Skulduggery. She used the water technique he showed her to bring water down on him, dousing the flames. Chione didn't take her eyes off him, the other 3 sisters came towards Valkyrie as Chione stood on Skulduggery's back, not letting him up. She turned round and gave her a grin.

SP chapter 7 part 1 (I made it way to big so i need to do it in parts)

"Same opponents?" Valkyrie asked.
"Well, unless you want these two psychotic people." Skulduggery asked.
"Skulduggery, they're ALL psychotic" Valkyrie replied, frustrated.
"Then yes, i would say same opponents." Skulduggery straightened his tie.
For psychotic people, at least they were polite, all four girls stood waiting for them to finish their conversation.
"I underestimated you two" Chione said sadly, "But it won't happen again".
All four sisters shot beams at them and they quickly hit the floor, narrowly missing being burnt to a crisp.
Valkyrie groaned. "I much preferred it when you were going easy on us and we were beating you up".
"Too bad". Chione snapped. Chione shot slivers of ice shooting towards Valkyrie, she instantly bent backwards, the ice cutting off her fringe and scraping her nose.
"Oh thanks, I didn't much like my fringe." Valkyrie said happily.
Chione screamed. "I don't think she likes being mocked, do you?" Skulduggery asked her.
"No, me neither, she sounds pretty angry doesn't she?"
Her own sisters started to giggle too and Chione shot them a glare that quickly silenced them.
"Oh dear" Valkyrie chuckled.
Chione's eyes turned pale, almost white and a bright flash blinded her. She felt hands on her, dragging her down to the ground and heard something crash overhead. When her vision was cleared she noticed the huge dent in the wall behind her. Skulduggery was kneeling beside her. "That was a close one, thanks" she said.
Skulduggery nodded and helped her up. The sisters shot pillars of light in their different elements towards them again, this time they were too quick, Skulduggery spun and fell as they hit his arm and side and Valkyrie got blasted into the doors. The doors splintered but didn't open. She slumped to the floor and groaned. Her jacket had protected her but all the air had been pushed out of her lungs. She stood and sent fireballs at September and a wave of air towards Mithria. September burst the fireballs but the fire traveled down the roots she used and burnt her hands. Mithria conjured up her own wall of water to counterattack the wall of air but Valkyrie was stronger and the air and water hit Mithria and forced her back a few steps. Mithria was dry even though she was covered in water, like it was armor. September was still on fire so Mithria sprayed her with water and they stood, looking very angry, across from Valkyrie. She shot a fist of shadows to Mithria and she blocked with her water wave but Valkyire was stronger still and was about to break through as September wrapped roots round her ankles again. Valkyrie clicked her fingers and held the flame to them, burning them off. As she landed, Mithria sent a tornado of water into her and she went sprawling onto her hands and knees.

SP fanfiction Chapter 6

The fight begins

Chione smiled. "I'm so glad we have a reputation, aren't you girls?" She raised her arms to her sisters. Skulduggery lunged towards her and she shrieked but brought up a wall of ice, blocking his punch. She breathed a sigh of relief, her sisters laughing uneasily seeing how close they got to their older sibling.
"Two each, think you could manage that Valkyrie?" She didn't turn around when he spoke.
She nodded.
"You can have the two youngest then." He said.
"Oh thanks." She replied coldly. She turned slowly towards Mithria and September who were looking at each other with puzzled expressions on their faces. Skulduggery used his other hand to push at the air and the ice cracked. Chione gasped as he punched her in the chest and sent her flying back into the stairway. She did not look amused, but to be perfectly honest, neither did her sister Star who growled at him and charged. She clicked her fingers and both her arms were set on fire. She crossed her arms in an 'X' as she approached and brought them down as fast as she could. The 'X' her arms made slashed up Skulduggery's suit and left a clear mark on some of his bones, she rushed at him faster, both palms held out in front of her, her palms connected with the point the two slash marks bi-sected each other and she splintered his rib cage. He screamed and dropped to one knee. She smirked as Chione lifted herself from the hole in the staircase. Mithria and September stared in awe then realised they had their own opponent. Valkyrie shot shadows at them and Mithria quickly brought up a wall of water that roared like a Tsunami. September shot tree roots through the small holes in the wave. Valkyrie clicked her fingers and threw fireballs at the roots but the wall of water crashed down and extinguished the flames and the roots slid off her jacket, forcing her back but not puncturing her jacket. September looked confused then realised that the fabric protected her. Enraged, her arms became tree branches and each finger became like a thin twig, or pine needle. They came at her like scissors cutting through the finest silk. She rolled to the side a tad too late. One of them made a gash on her cheek, one across her neck and two others cut strands of hair off, she watched them fall to the ground. She clutched  her neck, took it away and looked at her hand which was now covered in the rich red liquid. She hissed at the girls through her hair that was covering her face as some of it was sticking to the cut on her cheek. She flicked the hair away from her face and stood. Valkyrie brought up her arms and hundreds of thin shadows shot at them. They put up their element walls but at the last moment the shadows swerved around the walls, piercing both the sisters' sides. She risked a quick glance across the room at Skulduggery to see how he was doing with his fight. Pretty well it seemed. He was in the middle of throwing Star into a wall. Chione went up behind him and kicked the back of his leg which buckled, causing him to fall to one knee again but this time he swiveled round and took Chione's legs out from under her. He picked her up by her legs and started swinging her around like the Hammer Throw thing at the Olympics. She tore her eyes away to see Mithria and September helping each other up. She heard a scream an a crash and knew Chione had followed her younger sister into the wall. The two sisters in front of her shivered at the sound and couldn't bear to look round to see what was going on. Valkyrie didn't let them have any time to recover. She sent a wave of air towards them, knocking them off their feet yet again and they tumbled to the ground. She clicked her fingers and hurled two fireballs at them, followed by thicker shadows. They cried out and Valkyrie watched the pool of blood get wider. Then there was silence. She looked round to see Skulduggery staring at the two girls hanging out of the wall. He picked up his hat, holding his other arm across his stomach, protecting his broken ribs. He turned round to her and spoke softly.
"Get ready, they're not done yet." He frowned.
She felt her heart sink down to the bottom of her stomach, she trembled as the room began to fill with laughter. All the girls got up and came towards them. Skulduggery and Valkyrie slowly made their way to the center of the room. When Skulduggery and Valkyrie were shoulders length apart the sisters started screaming. Chione's skin froze over so it glistened, Mithria's skin was covered in water, when she touched her own hand it actually...rippled... September's skin turned into bark and Star's whole body was set alight. Their wounds healed instantly. They smiled sweetly like the girls they were supposed to be. "Now skeleton, girl, the real fight starts here." Chione giggled.

SP fanfic Chapter 5

The Element 4

They left the Medical Bay an hour later after their lovely and incredibly interesting conversation. She yawned. Ok fine it was really boring, but it was also nice, just laying there talking about boring stuff, normal stuff, with Skulduggery. They stalked the corridors leading to the 'Throne room' as Skulduggery called it. The man standing at the door stopped them, went into the room for a few minutes then let them in.
"Hello Detective Pleasant, Detective Cain" Smiled Ravel
"Hello Grand Mage, Elders, Long Time no see, have you found anything about Draco?"
"We did. He's not very good at hiding but we don't know if that's a good or a bad thing."
"I suggest that he is not dumb and that it is a trap."
"Good suggestion, he did outsmart the great Skulduggery Pleasant." Ghastly smirked.
"No, he didn't. It was all Valkyrie's fault. She fell right into the trap and I tried to save her but I fell into it too. My dignity Still remains Intact."
Valkyrie glared at him.
"Very well Detective, It may be a trap, You are not to go there." Madame Mist said
"But we are going anyway, revenge will be sweet." Valkyrie smiled.
"Not if it's a trap and he is waiting for you." Madame Mist stayed completely still as she spoke.
"Skulduggery, Valkyrie, be careful." Ghastly warned.
Skulduggery nodded and they left. The followed a map Ghastly sent them, to a large Villa facing the water. The gates opened as the gleaming Bentley passed through them, Definitely a trap. They got out and entered the house through the open doors. Everything was frozen and sparkling like crystals, really cold too. She shivered.
"Look at that!" A female voice exclaimed "More toys have come to play" And it laughed.
A girl around her own age used the ice on the bannister as a slide and dropped down in front of them. They backed away and the door behind them slammed shut. They spun round to see 3 more girls the same age, laughing at them. The first girl, the one in front of them had long, silver hair, a beautiful white dress just below her knees and Pale blue eyes. The 3 girls behind them were practically the same. The one on the left had shoulder-length, black, curly hair with hazel eyes. They were lined up in order of height, this girl was the smallest. The middle one had layered, shoulder-length, light brown hair and blue eyes and the tallest one had long blonde hair, blue eyes and all of them were incredibly skinny. All 4 girls had the same dresses except they all had different colours. The smallest had a blue one, the middle one had green and the last one had a red one. The girl in front of them smiled.
"These are my sisters, from the left is Mithria Faith, September Silver and Star Inkbright. I am the oldest, Chione Asahina."
"All lovely names, now, can you tell us where Draco Hellsworth is?" Skulduggery remained still.
"Oh, you mean this guy?" A part of the ice melted below their feet and Draco's pale blue face stuck out.
"Yep, that's a shame, we wanted to kill him. Oh well, we'll be leaving now."
Mithria, September and Star stepped in their way, smiling.
"Aww...I was looking forward to a little game." Chione raised her hands and pointed them at the doors which started to freeze. Skulduggery turned to face the 3 at their backs, Valkyrie stayed with her eyes focused on Chione. Back-to-back, ready to fire their...well...fire. The girl named Star stepped forward and raised her hands. Tree roots wrapped around their ankles and lifted them in the air, dangling upside-down.
"What the hell?" Valkyrie thrashed but Skulduggery stayed still and silent, staring at the ground where his hat lay. September raised her hands and fire spread along the roots towards them, their clothes set on fire and Valkyrie screamed. She tried to focus and push at the air but couldn't, all she could think about was the pain coursing through her whole body. She heard Skulduggery scream as the fire started to eat away at his skull and bones. Mithria, the smallest girl, raised her hands and a wave of water doused the flames. They dropped to the ground, too burnt to move. Chione frowned.
"That was no fun...even that Draco guy put up more of a fight."
They lay there, surrounded by the 4 disappointed girls.
"The Element 4. I couldn't remember your faces before... I've heard of you. The four sisters that control each of the elements fully." Skulduggery struggled.
The girls' grins grew larger.

SP fanfic Chapter 4

The new doctor.

She woke up in the sanctuary's clean, white-walled medical bay. Her muscles were aching but the pain was gone. She stared at the roof for a few minutes before looking around. Skulduggery lay on the bed next to her, still unconscious but they were alone, no Dr.Nye, Ghastly or Ravel, just them. She slowly climbed out of bed, walked across to his and sat next to him. Ghastly and Ravel burst through the doors and instantly began their rant.
"What are you doing out of bed? You should be resting!" Ghastly looked seriously concerned.
"What are the Grand Mage and Elder doing out here? Don't you have responsibilities to be busy with?" She smirked.
"True, but to be honest, seeing our friends is one of our responsibilities,  Valkyrie,  how are you?" Ravel stood at the end of Skulduggery's bed with his arms folded, Ghastly stood beside him.
"I'm a bit tired but not in pain or anything, I'm ok."
"I'm surprised you're tired, you've been unconscious for a day." Said Ghastly
She nodded. "How is he?" Staring down at him.
"The doctor says that he broke all his ribs, she did her best but it could take another day for him to come round."
"Wait...she? Where is Dr. Nye? Do I know her?"
Ghastly and Ravel chuckled. "We knew you would catch on, doctor Nye is on holiday to Scotland and no, you don't know her."
"I thought Nye hated the cold?"
"It does, but I was the one who suggested it payed a visit, it doesn't know a thing." Ghastly smiled and Valkyrie laughed.
"So where is this new doctor?"
Just as she said that, a women with white hair down to her shoulders, dark blue eyes wearing a plain but beautiful black dress with a white labcoat over it, walked through those big blue doors. She was just a few inches taller than her, minus the high heels, she looked in her early 20s and had a lovely smile.
"Hello Valkyrie,  it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Doctor Adra Dark, it took a while to patch you up, silly girl, how did you get yourself into such a mess?"
"We had a run in with Draco Hellsworth" She turned to Ghastly and Ravel "Know him?"
"Hate him" they said in Unison, looked at each other and laughed.
"Suerly one man couldn't do all this?" She really pushed for an answer, this doctor.
"He trapped us in Dublin zoo and lions tore my stomach up then a Rhino ran at us, Skulduggery pushed me out the way and...saved my life..." She started crying and hugged the skeleton. She felt hands on her back, squeezing her tightly, she pulled back and Skulduggery's Facade smiled at her. She laughed and hugged him tighter.
"Thank god you're ok..." She wiped her face, turned to see the others smiling at her too.
"I'm glad you're ok too, partner." He patted her head and turned to the others, nodded at Ghastly and Ravel then stared at Dr. Adra.
"Who might this be?" Skulduggery raised his eyebrow.
"The women who saved our lives, Skulduggery, well, yours, both of you saved mine, thank you." She smiled at them both. Skulduggery kicked her off the bed, stood up and shook the Doctor's hand.
"Hello, thank you for saving mine and my partner's lives, I am Skulduggery Pleasant as you may have guessed, and you are? he tilted his head, ignoring the evil glare from his partner laying on the floor.
"Doctor Adra Dark, pleasure to meet you Detective Pleasant."
"The pleasure is all mine." He kissed her hand and she started laughing.
"What?" He tilted his head, ovbiously puzzeled. She pointed down at his hospital gown which was the same pink gown with bunnies that Kenspeckle had gave him years before.
"Damn that Kenspeckle, still mocking me even when he's dead."
Valkyrie stopped laughing and looked at the floor. Skulduggery noticed.
"Oh...sorry...I didn't mean-"
"It's fine, I just missed him mocking you, that's all."
"Oh that's nice of you."
She smiled then Ghastly and Ravel made a move to the doors.
"We need to get back and try to find Draco. You two just get better alright? Dr. Adra, make sure they actually REST." Ravel said. They left and Dr.Adra turned to them both.
"right, both of you, back in your beds, by the looks of things you're healed but the Grand Mage insisted you stay and rest for at least another hour." she left and Valkyrie groaned.
"This is gonna be fun." Skulduggery smiled.
Valkyrie rolled her eyes and slammed her head back down ono her pillow.
"What is it?"
"Nothing."
"Tell me, we have a whole hour to chit-chat."
Valkyrie glared at him and he raised his hands.
"Don't hit me!"
She sighed. "I phoned Fletcher and told him to get Ghastly but he must have went back to Australia with his girlfriend.
"You're jealous aren't you?"
"Maybe a little, but i will find someone! aventually..."
"Boys are dangerous, just stay away from them all together."
"You're one." She laughed.
"One, I'm not a boy, I'm a man, Two, I'm not a man, I'm a skeleton."
"Good point."
"But i am dangerous."
"Oh i know."
"But you would be better on my side. My side always wins."
"Only because i joined your side. If i didn't, you would be with the Faceless Ones."
"Ah yes, they weren't very good hosts, i can tell you that much."
"Yeah, they havn't got very good reviews, some of them even killed their guests, or torchered them, making them insane."
"Yep, I heard of a very handsome skeleton that escaped because of his beautiful teenage partner. She's certainly special. She climbed through to another dimention, filled wih evil gods to save a person of hardly any significance."
"Don't you dare say that! do you know how much you mean to me?! you're my best friend, my mentor, my partner, i would go through hell and back...again."
He sat next to her on her bed and put his arm round her shoulders. "As would I, Valkyrie, as woud I."

SP fanfic chapter 3

Zoo-break

Skulduggery and Valkyrie summoned flames in both hands and fired at the animals. The flames set fire to their fur but they just kept coming. A tiger lunged at her and she went down. It tried to bite through her jacket but it protected her, she grabbed it's fur and pulled, making it roar loudly in her ear, throwing her senses off. The tiger clawed at her face and neck whilst she got her bearings. When she finally did, she couldn't feel her face, it was all numb and blood spilled down her clothes, it was bearable though, for now. She rolled away from it and shot a fist of shadows to its chest, it tore its body apart just as a monkey jumped on her back and bit her neck, she shrieked in pain and grabbed it by the tail, swinging it above her head and lunching it into the sky. She shot a spike of shadows after it and skewered it right through the head.
"Monkey's eye!" She exclaimed, starting to enjoy this far too much.
"Valkyrie" came Skulduggery's muffled voice. "Stay focussed will you?" She turned and he screamed, he had a pile of lions ontop of him, scratching and chewing his bones, his suit in tatters. She sent spears of shadow towards the pack, killing a few but the others she didn't kill just turned to her, more annoyed and went for her. She lay there, covering her head with her arms and was being squished. The lions were clawing at her neck but one of them caught her zip and pulled away, unzipping her jacket and leaving her stomach unprotected.She screamed as they clawed at it, ripping her stomach to shreds. Skulduggery pushed at the air and they all got flung off her. He scooped her up in his arms.
"Valkyrie, stay with me ok?"
She smiled weakly "Always". The lions came back at them as Skulduggery had an idea, he rose a couple of feet off the air, just under the dome.
"From here they can't kill us but we can kill them." She fired hundreds of shadows down at the animals, killing them all one by one (which took quite a while) When they couldn't see anymore, he lowered back down and lay her on the ground, kneeling beside her.
"We did it Valkyrie,  we'll get out of here then get you to the Sanctuary." He stroked her hair then stopped suddenly as he heard a noise behind them. A stray Rhino charged at them, it was heading towards her. Skulduggery realised this and at the last moment, pushed her out of the way. The Rhino's horn caught him in the chest and had him pinned up against the dome, she heard the bones in his ribcage shatter.
"Skulduggery! " she cried, she sat up and waved a lazy hand, sending a wave of air towards the animal which knocked it over. It dropped Skulduggery and he lay there, motionless. She sent a blast of pitch black into the Rhino's chest and it died. The dome slowly faded and she took out her phone, calling Fletcher.
"Fletch...get...Ghastly to...Dublin zoo." She closed her phone, crawled over to him and lay there, looking up at the stars, waiting.

SP fanfic Chapter 2

The mouse trap.

She opened her eyes and looked around her but only saw the city of Dublin, miles below her and the pitch black sky above. Wait...miles below? She looked down and screamed, thrashing her arms and legs and falling from Skulduggery's grasp, He tilted his head, amused by her reaction after her years of flying with him then sped after her, she was a couple of feet from being squished like a bug when Skulduggery caught her.
"Why didn't you tell me! I almost had a heart attack!" She exclaimed,  sitting on the ground panting.
"In all fairness, you were unconscious Valkyrie." he held out a hand, she took it and he helped her up.
"Where is Draco?" She looked around at her surrounding.
"He flew off, I was following him when you woke up and fell.
Valkyrie turned bright red "I'm sorry Skulduggery"
He shrugged. "It's fine, but you will have to help me find him again."
She nodded. "No problem. Wait... you said he flew? I thought you were the only one who could fly..."
"Obviously not."
She thought back to their conversation with Draco and a question came to mind. "What did Draco mean about being old friends?" She asked.
"We were never friends as you can imagine, he's not my type, we fought on the same side, that's all."
"But if you fought on the same side...that means he's a good guy, right?"
He turned and looked at her. "Not necessarily, although it may have been my fault he turned into a murderer."
"What do you mean?"
"He was fighting some of Mevolent's men with me, I killed my side and kept pushing through, I saw a figure that looked like serpine, this was after he killed my family and I came back, all I thought of was killing him and seeking revenge, nothing else. I heard Draco shouting my name, I turned and he was being swarmed but I turned back to where I saw the figure and didnt look back again. He's most likely doing this for revenge."
She stood silent for a while then looked around again, changing subject. "Where are we?"
"I think this is the zoo." It was dark, the zoo looked so old and derelict...
"But I thought he lived right next to it."
"He does but you were out for almost 30minutes and I'm pretty sure he lead me to follow him in a circle. Someone clapped from above. They looked up and saw Draco standing ontop of the enterence.
"Yes I did leave you to circle the zoo, so clever, but I didn't think you would be stupid enough to fall into my perfect trap..." he grinned, it widened to almost the lenth of his face.
"What plan?" She asked, but she had a really bad feeling about this and that she would find out soon enough.
"You're trapped here, when I was leading you in a circle I was also drawing symbols around the entire zoo area hoping I would drop down, you would follow and be stuck here but the stupid little girl couldn't have made it any better if she tried." He laughed and flew off.
"Well...that could have gone better...at least we have our magic." She sighed, trying to make the best of a bad situation even though she was secretly saying 'I told you so' and 'well done, this was all your fault'.
"He's too smart to just forget to bound our magic. He has something planned for it." There was sounds of metal behind them as the doors of the cages slid open, releasing all the animals but they didn't seem normal...their eyes were glowing red, jaws open showing rows of teeth, claws out, ready to tear them apart. Skulduggery cursed under his breath and they backed away to the enterence but Draco was right, the magic symbols glowed and showed a blue-coloured dome over them, trapping them like mice in a cage with very hungry cats.

They turned into the living room and saw a man who looked like he was in his late 20's, he was looking down at the swirling red wine in his hand and they couldn't see his face. He was sitting on an armchair next to the only light in the house - the fireplace - where he was burning a pile of dead bodies, she was almost sick from the smell.
"Draco Hellsworth, hello. How are you?" Skulduggery lowered his gun but didn't put it away then extinguished his flame, she did the same.
"I'm fine Skulduggery, come now, put the gun away old friend, you wouldn't pull the triger infront of your beautiful partner would you?"
For the first time Draco looked up, staring at her, his dark green eyes flickering and dancing with the flames from the fireplace, his black hair framing his face perfectly, he smiled at her, he seemed almost charming if he wasn't surrounded by dead bodies.
He licked his lips. "It would be such a shame to hurt such a pretty face." He gestured to the seats across from him, Valkyrie hesitated, waiting for Skulduggery to move. He sat at the 2nd closest chair to the fireplace, leaving her to sit next to the dead bodies and across from Draco.
He reached forward and took her hand, kissing it. "Pleasure to meet you Miss Cain, how did you find your way to the Skeleton Detective here? He's such a grouch, we used to be friends but after his family died he has hated almost everyone.You must be special."
Skulduggery folded his arms and put his gun away. "I remember no such thing. You tried talking to me but I ignored you, I also hit you a couple of times.
Draco nodded sadly then clutched his cheek as if remembering the sensation "your punches hurt you're always getting into trouble,  even now you are both in danger and its on your head, Skeleton.
Draco stood up and kicked Skulduggery in the face then pushed at the air, sending him to the room on the other side of the hall. He walked back over to her and she tensed up, unable to move from the chair, she looked at her wrists that had been bound, aswell as her magic.
"No point trying to escape sweetheart, I'll kill you slowly and painfully, listening to you scream so don't worry about a thing" He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him as he pulled out a knife, he cut along her cheek then did the same to her other cheek, she cried out, feeling the slow trickle of blood down her chin and neck.
"Even your scream sounds beautiful" he grinned and moved the blade down towards her neck as Skulduggery punched him in the face, knocking the knife from his hand. He quickly turned to Valkyrie and tried to prys off the straps but they wouldn't budge.  He clicked his fingers and summoned a flame, he held it to the strap and it started to burn
"I'm sorry about this" he said as the flame started burning her skin, she bit her lip and tried not to cry as the strap fell off but Draco was back and he swipped at Skulduggery's feet from him making him fall and smashing his chin off her knee as he went down.
"Skulduggery!" She cried as Draco held a flame to his suit and set it on fire then threw him out the window. He dusted his hands and turned back to her. She quickly summoned a flame and fired but he dodged it easily. She grabbed a fist of shadows which hit him in the chest, pushing him back.. She didn't waste time, she summoned another flame and held it to her other strap, she cried out as it burned through it. She looked down at her burnt wrists, tears in her eyes but Draco lunged for her, grabbing her wrists and making her scream, she fell onto her knees. He flipped her over and sat ontop of her, tightening his grip making her scream louder, she felt tears run down her face. He let go of her wrists and grabbed her throat. She kicked but he wouldn't move, she tried to punch him but it hurt herself more than it hurt him, her vision was fading,  she was going to pass out. She heard Skulduggery crash back through the window just before she fell unconsious.

Skulduggery Pleasant Fanfic

Hey guys, this is the first chapter of my first Skulduggery Pleasant Fanfic, I hope you guys like it, please comment what you think :)

Chapter1: Draco Hellsworth. (Part 1)

"What are we dealing with this time" She asked. "mass murderers,  robbery,  people blowing stuff up?"
Skulduggery looked at her. "You could class it as a robbery I guess"
Valkyrie nodded. "What did they steal?"
Skulduggery turned back to face the road and whispered "a turtle"
Valkyrie straightened up in her seat and stared at him in disbelief.  "A...turtle? Are you kidding me?! What's so special about it? Why not a tiger or lion? You have got to be joking..right?
She could hear the laugh in his voice when he spoke. "Of course I'm kidding! You are so easy to trick you know that?
She sat back and glared at him. "Ok fine, haha you got me, now where are we going?"
"A zoo" he replied
Her eyes narrowed. "Seriously Skulduggery, where are we going?
"I was being serious that time, this guy lives next to Dublin zoo."
She shook her head and kept quiet the rest of the journey,  which was a very short time.

They stopped outside a very small building which couldn't even be described as a house, it was more like a large garden shed. It smelled like rotten flesh and just death in general, even the cemetary where the necromancer temple was smelled better than this. They knocked the door but there was no answer. Skulduggery kicked the door and it must have been really old because it flew right off it's hinges. Valkyrie shook her head and Skulduggery shrugged. He took out his revolver, held it in one hand and summoned a flame in the other. Valkyrie felt the freezing cold on her finger, she tapped Skulduggery and pointed at her ring, he nodded.

"Mr Pleasant, Miss Cain, how nice of you to come in and break my door, please, come in.
Came a rough voice from the living room, they looked at each other then followed the direction the voice came from. (Continued in part 2)
